The Stick to Golf Manual (officially known as The Stick to Golf Scholastic Learning System Manual) has been updated and from now on will include “Stick to Golf Exercises,” with information for incorporating exercise into a golf program. We were inspired to add “Stick to Golf Exercises” when we learned that the Province of Ontario, Canada passed a law requiring every school student to have 20 minutes of activity every day in addition to their regular physical education classes. Similar initiatives are being adopted on a less formal basis throughout the United States and Canada. We keep it simple and doable by recognizing that golf is a walking sport and including proper breathing and walking instructions along with strategies for incorporating Stick to Golf games. What could be better than staying fit while learning golf skills and having fun. As Joey says, “Stick to Golf…it’s fun!”

Tony Korologos a.k.a. mediaguru reviewed our Stick to Golf Learning System on his website wwww.hookedongolfblog.com. Tony reviews all sorts of golf products and his web site is very popular among golf nuts everywhere. His Stick to Golf review includes a product overview with lots of photos, his thoughts on how to use Stick to Golf, and a video of him and his dad playing the Stick to Golf pitching game (referred to in the review as the Teeny Target and Teeny Tee Mat). We are pleased, but not surprised, at how easy it was for Tony and his dad to grasp the fun and the value of Stick to Golf and how positive his comments are. The Golf Association of Ontario has had a golf-in-school program utilizing Stick to Golf equipment and curriculum for a number of years. Recently, they defined a four-level program under the title of the Calloway Golf in Schools Program. Our Stick to Golf equipment is used at level two and is described in their web site (www.gao.ca) as follows:
“Stick to Golf – (Junior) is a program designed for a permanent physical education unit to foster the culture of golf in elementary schools. The equipment used is ‘Stick to Golf’ and features chipping, putting and the opportunity to learn the scoring system and terminology associated with golf.”
In December, Sindelar Golf will supply the GAO with enough Stick to Golf Four-Unit Classroom Packs for 100 schools to be added to their golf-in-school network.
